Sail By The Stars is a five piece pop-rock outfit hailing from the finer pastures of Omaha, Nebraska. The band plays uplifting, bright pop tunes, complete with acoustic flourishes and an airiness that's cool as a summer's breeze. The project originally blossomed from the mind of lead singer/songwriter, Joshua Koterba, who was inspired to create songs that were not only positive and inspirational, but meaningful as well. Throughout Fall 2008, Joshua wrote and recorded the debut EP, "A Sunshine State of Mind," all on his own. The album was released on November 4th, 2008 through iTunes and Smartpunk.com and quickly garnered the attention of online publications such as The Daily Chorus, Absolutepunk and Decoymusic. Shortly after the release, Joshua armed himself with a group of his closest friends (Aaron Wesselman, Josh Kay, Cody Garrison and Billy Toti) to embark on tour. Since then, the friends have grown inseparable and are now full time members. Equipped with a strong desire to share the music they love with as many people as possible, the band will be constantly touring the next few months and plan on releasing new music this summer.
